Restoring Nature in Colombia
Creating a more sustainable and resilient future for our planet.
“Producers can see and recognize birds, taking pride in this tangible connection to local wildlife. This sense of pride can foster greater engagement among local producers, encouraging their participation and commitment to conservation efforts.” — Andrew Nobrega | Chief Product Officer

The Impact of Agroforestry
In Colombia, we are shedding light on the impact regenerative agriculture practices play on biodiversity conservation and habitat restoration.
Increasing Biodiversity
Since 2014, PUR has planted over 3.7 million trees within coffee agroforestry parcels. Colombian summers can experience dry, harsh conditions due to climate change; conserving soil and finding and maintaining water resources are essential. When shade trees are planted, multiple benefits are created — trees begin to bear fruits, creating diversified income for farmer’s livelihoods, and birds and insects return, essential for pollinating coffee flowers.
Interventions
Our Projects

What We Do
Founded in 2008, PUR develops projects within our clients’ value chains to regenerate landscapes and protect vital ecosystems. By implementing nature-based solutions (NBS), we help companies reduce their environmental footprint while increasing the resilience of supply chains to climate change.
Impacts
PUR creates long-term impact by restoring key ecosystem services, while scaling up sustainable practices to support future generations of farmers.
Regenerative agriculture gives producers the tools to take action and be part of a larger solution to the climate crisis — enhancing soil health, increasing biodiversity, and building resilience to major ecological issues like flooding and drought.
